Training Professionals to respond to critical Incidents
Crisis Management-APC offers various training opportunities for licensed mental health professionals, teacher, firefighters, police, and others. These training opportunities include certified CISM courses, CISM orientations, and CISM refresher classes for those already certified. Certified courses are offered in cooperation with the International Critical Incident Stress Management Foundation. Crisis Management – APC provides consultation for schools in developing or evaluating crisis response plans. Consultations may include specialized training for peer intervention, orientations enabling staff to work effectively with emergency personnel and professional counselors, and resource development. Additionally, specialized business consultation is available with executives developing corporate disaster plans.
Crisis Management – APC has counselors trained and holding certificates in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) to respond to immediate crisis situations. Organizations pre-contract for these services and have the assurance that they will have a certified person available to assist in emergency situations.
